Enter once a week and get +1% on what you already buy

"Kon-shu no Otoku na Prime Point Up" (this week's Prime point up) is a weekly campaign: enter each week, and once your purchases that week reach ¥12,000 (tax included), you get extra Amazon points. It runs for two weeks, from Tue Oct 20 to Mon Nov 2, with a cap of 2,000 points per week. Use it in a week when you stock up on household items and you get 1% back with no extra effort.

What the campaign page shows

Log in and open the campaign page to see the conditions that apply to you. This is what our editorial account showed:

Campaign page (Oct 23, 2026). ① Entered, with progress toward ¥12,000 ② This week's period ③ +1.0% for Prime members ④ +5% featured brands. Our purchase total is hidden.

The top of the page notes that the required spending amount differs by customer. The ¥12,000 threshold, +1.0% and the +5% brands are simply what our account showed, so check your own page before you shop.

Three conditions

  1. Enter during that week (the button changes to "エントリー済み", entered)
  2. Be a Prime member during that week (free trials count)
  3. Buy eligible items totaling ¥12,000 or more (tax included) that week

Meet the conditions and Prime members get +1.0% points. Items from the "Brand Selection" get another +5.0%. The rules say the rate goes up with each condition you meet, so featured-brand items get both the +1.0% and the +5.0%.

Enter every week — purchases made earlier in the same week still count

Entries and conditions reset every Tuesday at 0:00. Even if you entered in week 1 (Oct 20–26), you need to enter again for week 2 (Oct 27–Nov 2).

On the other hand, purchases made earlier in the same week still count toward the total. The official FAQ says purchases count whether they were made before or after entry, so if you remember the campaign after shopping, just enter during that week.

How much do you get? Up to 2,000 points a week

Using our account's conditions (¥12,000 threshold, +1.0%, +5.0% for featured brands), here is a rough estimate of the extra points for one week:

Total that weekOf which featured brandsExtra points (approx.)
¥11,999—0 (below the threshold)
¥12,000¥0120 points
¥30,000¥10,000800 points
¥200,000¥02,000 points (cap)

With regular items you hit the cap at ¥200,000 a week; join both weeks for up to 4,000 points. The "points" shown on product pages are your regular points—the campaign points come separately. Regular points from the Amazon Mastercard are also separate and do not count toward the 2,000-point cap.

+5% brands: only items sold and shipped by Amazon.co.jp

The +5.0% only applies to Brand Selection items both shipped and sold by Amazon.co.jp. The same brand bought from a marketplace seller gets no +5.0% (it still counts toward the ¥12,000 total and the +1.0%).

Our account showed two hair-care brands. These links open lists filtered to items sold by Amazon.co.jp:

The campaign page labels the second brand "L'Oréal Paris", but the logo and link actually go to the salon line, L'Oréal Professionnel.

What does not count, and how coupons are handled

  • Amazon gift cards
  • Subscription fees such as Kindle Unlimited, Prime Video, Amazon Music Prime and Audible, plus Prime membership fees
  • In-app purchases through the Amazon app, Amazon Pharmacy, Amazon Furusato Nozei
  • Pre-orders, fees and shipping, gift wrapping
  • Some excluded items (the rules give "some designated Sony-brand products" as an example; check the product page)

Time-sale items, marketplace sellers' items and Subscribe & Save (定期おトク便) orders do count.

Orders with coupons count at the discounted amount. Using a coupon on an order right at ¥12,000 can push you below the threshold, so leave a little margin. Amounts paid with points or gift card balance still count in full.

When points arrive and when they expire

  • Within a few days after the campaign ends (Nov 2), the points appear as "pending points" (獲得予定ポイント)
  • About 40 days after the end, they are confirmed and become usable
  • They are limited-time points that expire at the end of the month after confirmation

About 40 days after Nov 2 is mid-December. If the points are confirmed in December, they can be used until January 31, 2027 (the rules give the same example: confirmed Dec 1, 2026 → expires Jan 31, 2027). Check the exact date on your My Points page.

The Prime member bonus requires a paid membership on the confirmation date. If you joined with a free trial, do not cancel before then. If cancellations or returns bring your weekly total below ¥12,000, you lose that week's points entirely.

Tips so you do not miss out

  1. Enter on Tuesday morning. It costs nothing, so enter first and you will not miss anything you buy later in the week. Week 2 starts Tue Oct 27.
  2. If your two weeks together come to less than ¥24,000, do it all in one week. The threshold is weekly, so ¥10,000 each week qualifies for neither.
  3. Reach ¥12,000 with detergent, tissues or cases of drinks. Bringing forward things you will buy anyway is painless. Subscribe & Save orders count too.
  4. Avoid coupons right at the ¥12,000 line. Paying with points or balance does not reduce the total.
  5. If week 1 is about to pass ¥200,000, move non-urgent items to week 2.

Yes, within the same week. The official FAQ says purchases count before or after entry. You cannot move purchases from one week to the next.

No. The campaign page says the required amount differs by customer, so log in and check the amount on your own page.
