Buy a total of ¥10,000 in brand gift cards such as Apple Gift Card, Google Play gift codes or DMM Prepaid Cards, and you'll get 1,000 Amazon points. Spend exactly ¥10,000 and that's 10% back.
First, Check Whether You're Eligible
This campaign is for targeted customers only (対象者限定). Log in and open the campaign page: if you see the "キャンペーンにエントリーする" (Enter the campaign) button, you're eligible; if not, you're out this time. Eligibility is decided per account.
After you press the button, it changes to "エントリー済み" as in the image above. Only purchases made after entering count, so enter before you buy any gift cards.
Which One to Buy? Choose by What You'll Use It For
Gift cards can't be returned, so the smartest move is to swap in a card for money you'd be spending anyway. Here are the cards on the campaign page, sorted by use.
- Upgrading your iPhone or Mac, monthly iCloud+ or Apple Music → Apple Gift Card
- Android apps and games, YouTube Premium → Google Play gift code
- E-books, videos, browser games (DMM) → DMM Prepaid Card
- LINE stickers, themes and games → LINE Prepaid Card
- Unlimited streaming (U-NEXT) → U-NEXT gift code
- VR apps and games → Meta Quest gift card

Expiry Dates by Card
They're all "gift cards," but expiry rules vary a lot. If you're saving it for later, a card with no expiry is the safe pick (all based on product pages as of Oct 4).

There are also TikTok, DAZN, Roblox, Fortnite, LUUP and more, and you can mix different brands to reach the ¥10,000 total. Only three are excluded: Amazon Gift Cards, Uber Gift Cards and Yoshinoya Digital Gift (吉野家デジタルギフト).
Cards With Added Fees Wipe Out the 10%
Some eligible cards have fees built into the price. When we checked product pages on Oct 4, these two were selling above face value:
- QUO Card Pay (QUOカードPay, email delivery): 10% of face value added ("販売価格にはシステム利用料・手数料が含まれています" — price includes system and handling fees)
- GO Ticket (GOチケット, for the taxi app "GO"): 8% of face value added ("販売価格にはAmazon販売手数料が含まれています" — price includes an Amazon sales fee)
Compare what you actually end up with after meeting the ¥10,000 condition, and the difference is clear.

The product pages for Apple Gift Card, Google Play and DMM Prepaid Card mention no fees (Google Play explicitly says "有効期限や手数料はありません" — no expiry or fees). Before buying, just check the "この商品について" (About this item) section for the word "手数料" (fee) to avoid losing out like this.
What to Know If You Choose Apple Gift Card
- Works for hardware too: Use it to pay for an iPhone, Mac or AirPods on apple.com, in the Apple Store app or at Apple Store locations. Online, add it to your Apple Account at apple.com/redeem first, then pay.
- One card covers ¥10,000: The email type lets you choose from ¥1,000 to ¥50,000, so picking 10000 meets the condition on its own.
- Amazon limits purchases to ¥50,000 per 24 hours: The product page says "前回の購入から24時間以内は5万円まで" (up to ¥50,000 within 24 hours of your last purchase); anything over is canceled automatically.
- Apple Account balance is capped at ¥300,000: The limit is stated in Apple's gift card terms.
When Do the 1,000 Points Arrive, and How Long Do They Last?
Points are added about 2 weeks after you meet the conditions, and you can check them under "マイポイント" (My Points) on Amazon. They're limited-time points (期間限定ポイント), valid until "the last day of the month after the month the points are confirmed."
- Confirmed in October → valid until Nov 30
- Confirmed in November → valid until Dec 31
When you shop with points, limited-time points with closer expiry dates are used before your regular 1-year points (per the terms). If you sometimes go months without shopping on Amazon, jot down the expiry date.
These Don't Count Toward the Prime Big Deal Days Points-Up
The points-up campaign for Prime Big Deal Days (プライム感謝祭), starting Tue, Oct 13, also requires "entry + ¥10,000 or more total," but its official FAQ states that "campaign points are not given for purchases of gift cards themselves" ("ギフトカード自体をご購入いただいた場合は、キャンペーンポイントは付与されません").
Plan to spend this ¥10,000 on gift cards separately from the Prime Big Deal Days ¥10,000, so you don't come up short later. We've rounded up sale dates in our sale calendar.
Things to Keep in Mind
- Shipped cards must ship within the period. The terms say the order, payment and shipping must all be completed during the campaign period. If the deadline is close, email delivery is the safe choice.
- No returns or refunds. Only buy amounts you plan to use.
- Once per person. Buying ¥20,000 still gets you just 1,000 points.
- Never share your codes. If someone asks you to buy gift cards and send them the codes, suspect a scam.
- Amazon may change or end the campaign at its discretion. Check the terms on the campaign page for the latest conditions.
FAQ
I can't find the entry button.
This campaign is for targeted customers only, so if the button doesn't appear, your account isn't eligible this time. Also check that you're logged in.
I already bought gift cards. Can I still enter now?
Purchases made before you enter don't count. Enter now, then buy at least ¥10,000 total again to qualify.
Can I buy ¥5,000 each from two different brands?
Yes. The condition is buying at least ¥10,000 total in eligible products, so mixing brands is fine.
Do Amazon Gift Cards count?
No. Amazon Gift Cards, Uber Gift Cards and Yoshinoya Digital Gift are excluded.
Does QUO Card Pay count?
It's one of the eligible brands, but the price includes a fee of 10% of the face value, so even with the 1,000 points you gain almost nothing.
When will I get the points?
About 2 weeks after you meet the conditions. They're limited-time points, usable until the end of the month after the month they're confirmed.
Do these count toward the ¥10,000 for the Prime Big Deal Days points-up campaign?
The Prime Big Deal Days FAQ says campaign points aren't given for purchases of gift cards themselves. It's safest to plan for them separately.
